Overview & Highlights
This escorted group tour takes you to the Lost City of the Incas Machu Picchu and to Lake Titicaca in Peru before flying to the Galápagos Islands to swim with sea lions and cruise with expert guides.
- Cusco: city tour and Sacsayhuamán
- Sacred Valley: tour of ruins and villages
- Machu Picchu: guided tour of the ruins
- Lake Titicaca: Uros Islands and Sillustani
- Guayaquil: city tour
- Galápagos Islands: guided island visits and snorkeling
This is an inspirational group tour which includes some of the continent's most breath-taking highlights. The welcoming smiles of the Peruvian people, combined with the country's rich human culture, past and present, alongside the diverse and hauntingly beautiful landscapes make it an easy place to fall in love with. Survey the Inca temples of Machu Picchu, colonial Cusco, the bucolic splendour of Sacred Valley and Lake Titicaca's vast expanse of shimmering waters.
The grand finale of this unforgettable trip is a cruise around the greatest wildlife show on earth, the Galápagos Islands. On a similar trip 200 years ago Darwin returned from the archipelago to write the seminal book 'The Origin of the Species'. Step into his shoes and explore the aptly named Enchanted Islands.
One of the joys of the Galápagos is that each island is unique, with varying landscapes from scorched lava to white-sand coves and forest-shrouded mountains, and each has its own array of wildlife. You can also make the most of the boat and your time at sea; relaxing on deck with a cocktail at sunset, snorkelling with angel fish or swimming with dolphins.

What our clients say
97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.
An excellent well organised tour. We saw all the major Inca sites & Machu Picchu was amazing, exceeding all expectations. The Galápagos Islands at the end of the tour just blew us away.AH, Stafford
Please describe the most memorable experience/aspect of your trip? "The first time a sea lion came up to have a good look at me when I was snorkeling in the Galapagos and played around me with such grace and freedom."LH, Hong Kong
"This holiday far exceeded our expectations and was truly a once in a lifetime experience!"CD, Plymouth
"This trip was just amazing. I just seemed to keep saying WOW - the walls the Incas built, their terraces, how they did all the construction on the top of the mountains, the Uros people of Lake Titicaca. As for the Galapagos Islands they were everything I hoped for - round every corner there was something to see and identify. It took a long time to get to Peru and Ecuador but it was worth every minute - thank you for a wonderful trip."ES, Nairn
Most memorable experience: “I can't really single out any one- I found it all memorable but what was a real pleasure was the friendliness of the local people.”PB, Swansea
Please describe the most memorable experience/aspect of your trip? "In Galapagos; swimming with a playful Sea Lion, having a penguin swim right under my tummy and watching white tipped sharks cruise by all in the same snorkel session!"
"Journey Latin America came highly recommended to us, in turn we highly recommend them to you."DM, Marlborough
"It was a magical experience, a well organized trip that gave me piece of mind, which is what a holiday should be. Well done Journey Latin America."LM, Arbroath
"Walking up to and then seeing Machu Picchu for the first time, visiting the floating Islands on Lake Titicaca , All of the Galapagos Islands visited but in particular swimming with a sea lion and seeing a Galapagos penquin up close and personal!"NHH, West Byfleet
“Having previously travelled to Patagonia on a Classic tour we knew what the standards are and didn't consider anyone else. Our confidence was fully justified.”IJB, Birmingham
The Seaman motor yacht we use on this tour is great for a group. It has space for just 16 passengers offering a more intimate experience of the Galápagos. The cabins are a good size, the crew excellent and the Jacuzzi was definitely welcome after a snorkelling trip!
