Overview & Highlights

Discover the wild scenery of Chile’s Patagonia from rural top-of-the-range lodges offering a palette of tailor-made outdoor excursions.

Chile’s Patagonia extends from the achingly beautiful lake district - with its ice-cream cone volcanoes, meadows, waterfalls and virgin forests - down to the glaciers and steppes of a more brutal, primeval landscape in the far south. The area of the lakes, traditionally a magnet for visitors from Chile and overseas alike, has become more accessible, and hotels, lodges and resorts of all standards have been established there. Chiloe, the misty and mysterious island off the Pacific coast, steeped in myth and legend, has long conserved a traditional way of life and now here too you can explore from a delightful top-of-the-range property, Tierra Chiloe.

Further south, on the fringes of Torres del Paine National Park, the lodge’s sister property, Tierra Patagonia, offers an equally exclusive opportunity to explore the mountains and glaciers of wild and untamed region in comfort and style.

Round off your adventure with a couple of days luxuriating at one of Chile’s most prestigious vineyards, set in a fertile valley not far from the capital, Santiago.

What our clients say

  • Jam packed itinerary with so many great places and sights in such a short time! Iguacu Falls, Rio, La Paz, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu- it really had it all. We had a great tour guide; informative, knowledgeable and extremely personable, with a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for South America. Logistics were seamless- first time travelling to South America, first time travelling solo- highly recommend it!

  • Northern Peru is currently a little less discovered which makes travel there more rewarding. The people have not been jaded with excess tourism and are truly welcoming. The wealth of ancient sites and beauty of the countryside means it deserves to be more visited - and it will be!

  • I found the trip most enjoyable and very thoughtfully arranged to maximise our experience - I have no complaints at all about the trip and found it extremely enjoyable. Our Guide was excellent - very friendly and informative and looked after us all very well. Overall an extremely enjoyable holiday.

  • Machu Picchu was the ultimate climax at the end of the tour & definitely best to see it lastly. However all the previous places, people & food all definitely contributed hugely to a truly memorable trip - a visit to Peru with the preceding visits made the whole adventure far more meaningful & pleasurable.

  • Jacana was a fascinating, very well organised 3 week tour through Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia and Lima taking in the highlights of each country. Every day gave us a new experience which will stay in our memories for a long time to come.

  • Many good memories - arriving at Macchu Picchu was something we had wanted to do for many years, so was probably the most memorable.
