Overview & Highlights

A journey of discovery into the far corners of Latin America’s most adventurous and evocative destination, Andean Bolivia.

Bolivia is the Latin America of your imagination. It’s a country of outsized wilderness landscapes, of rock-falls blocking cliff-hugging dirt roads, boozy fiestas, far-flung weaving villages, and age-weathered colonnades. It’s where otherworldly features such as sun-blistered salt pans sit within wind-blasted plains, pinpricked by ice-coated Andean spires.

This holiday fizzes with adventure: add to the above the sapphire waters of Lake Titicaca, the panoramic cable cars of La Paz and the remote trail tracing the route of Che Guevara’s last stand: we’ve created an innovative group tour trip where surprises lurk round every corner. You’ll need a flexible attitude to enjoy the experience, and be ready for your mind to be blown away.

What our clients say

  • The entire trip was very varied. Travelling through the lake lands of Bolivia was great in 4x4s. The clarity of the skies in San Pedro Chile and time to relax. Cusco and the Inca sites at Ollyantytambo, Pisco and Machu Picchu. The Drive from Hydro-Elektrica to Cusco along mountain tracks in a mini bus with sheer drops of several hundred metres to the valley. The Martin Chambi Photo exhibition in Cusco. Lima was surprisingly attractive...but there were many many aspects that were great and I could write pages.

  • It was an amazing holiday with so many wonderful experiences and stunning scenery. Possibly in the months ahead the images that will stand our are: the Perito Mereno Glacier, Torres del Paine, the Fitzroy Mountain shining in the morning sunlight, the trip on the Beagle Channel  and the Iguazu Falls. We were blessed with unusually fine weather which made the trip even more memorable. No wind in Patagonia, and calm waters in the Beagle Channel!

  • Seeing the people on the Uros islands demonstrate how they cook, the amazing Iguassu Falls, seeing a toucan close up (at Iguassu), all the different Inca sites, seeing the traditional dress and witches market in La Paz, the herbal drinks being explained in Asuncion, sunset on sugarloaf mountain and chilling out on Ilha grande.

  • Jam packed itinerary with so many great places and sights in such a short time! Iguacu Falls, Rio, La Paz, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu- it really had it all. We had a great tour guide; informative, knowledgeable and extremely personable, with a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for South America. Logistics were seamless- first time travelling to South America, first time travelling solo- highly recommend it!

  • Many good memories - arriving at Macchu Picchu was something we had wanted to do for many years, so was probably the most memorable.
