December - April

Bocas del Toro and the Caribbean have an equatorial climate, so unlike other parts of the country there is no real dry season. You can expect the most rain in December, while February and March are the driest months in these idyllic islands. Rain can fall at any time, arriving in short sharp blasts which quickly pass and often leave the rest of the day in brilliant sunshine. Although humid, temperatures are lower than the Pacific, with highs of around 29°C.

May - November

The rains begin to ramp up in April and remain high throughout these summer months. September is a good time for an autumn visit as there is far less rain than October - December. You’ll enjoy deliciously hot temperatures and long sunshine hours, and being outside the hurricane belt the region can still be enjoyed throughout the year.
