Park Eden is a rustic guesthouse in the mountain town El Valle, a good base for exploring the forest paths and waterfalls of the picturesque region.

Park Eden is a charming family-run guest house in El Valle de Anton, where eight guest rooms are set in red-tiled cottages among luscious cloud forest foliage in the peaceful grounds.  Ancient trees, ornamental fountains and bridges dot the lawns and attract a myriad of birds.

The cottages themselves are decorated in quaint, countryside style, some with wrought iron bedsteads or beamed ceilings, some with kitchenette, mezzanine or little balcony. Hammocks, bikes and barbecues are available to enhance the pleasure of your stay. A full breakfast is served in the conservatory or al fresco if the weather is nice.

There’s plenty to do in the area: the pleasant little town of El Valle is set in the vast crater of an extinct volcano, flowers and cloud-forest prosper in the fertile soils and there are loads of walks and waterfalls to visit.

What our clients say

  • "Most memorable was watching mother and baby two-toed sloths from bedroom window at Canopy Tower. Early morning on the roof of Canopy Tower listening to howler monkeys as the sun…

    NW, Kidlington
  • Most Memorable Moment?: Too hard to choose one. Panama Canal Transit was a lifelong ambition.

    NA, London
  • Highlights: “Locks on the Panama canal and Panamax vessels up close.”

    MC, Fulham
  • Panama was far more interesting than what we thought it would be, particularly the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Bio Diversity Museum.

    CY, Heathfield
  • We didn't realise the partial canal transit would be in such a big boat with loads of other tourists - not a problem, but would have been good for this…

    NF, Tunbridge Wells
  • "Bocas del Toro was great fun and frivolous and a great journey there by boat."
