Sumptuous converted 19th century property of just eight rooms right in the centre of colonial Mérida, offering the height of luxury within an atmospheric, elegant setting.

The stunning 19th century Hotel Hacienda VIP is conveniently located in the heart of the historical centre of Mérida, a short walk from the main square. It has just eight rooms painted in rich, warm colours and equipped with huge open plan bathrooms, ipod docks, four poster beds draped with bright linens, abstract paintings and heavy wooden doors.

Rooms overlook the enclosed, open-air pool, flanked by a colonnaded terrace and rustic stonework. There is also a massage pavilion plus a bar and restaurant that's exclusive to guests.

The wide, airy corridors evoke a sense of elegance, even opulence, with columns supporting high ceilings with wooden rafters. The communal areas are particularly atmospheric by night, when the artful lighting creates a romantic ambience.
