Safari Endeavour is a mid-range expedition ship for the young at heart, with excellent facilities and a flexible menu of exciting outdoor adventures.

US-owned and operated Safari Endeavour is a relatively small expedition ship, with just 42 double and twin cabins accommodating 84 guests. The atmosphere is ultra-informal and friendly, with an accent on getting the most fun possible out of the gentle activities and experiences, making her a great choice for families and solo travellers. The aspect and décor are cheerful and workaday, with a no-fuss nautical ambiance featuring natural wood. All cabins are fully furnished and have private facilities.  Staff are accommodating and put the emphasis on flexibility.

What’s more there is an impressive range of equipment for use off the ship. You have a choice of kayaks, paddle boards, inflatable skiffs, hiking poles and snorkelling gear including wetsuits to enhance the action on Baja’s rugged coast, the glittering sea and the trails on uninhabited islands. You’ll go back to the ship knowing you can wallow in a hot tub, tone your bodies on the outdoor fitness equipment relax in the lounge or curl up with a DVD. Not to forget the wine bar...

What our clients say

  • Most memorable aspect: “The view from Monte Alban across Oaxaca and the valleys around. Eating in Cafe Tacuba in Mexico City with a troop of troubadours playing would come a close second, followed by the flight to Huatulco when we flew all along the coast before landing, courtesy of a local businessman who was playing host to an American novelist. Xochimilco was also memorable and fun.

  • As a first time traveler to Central America, I can't stress enough how pleasurable Journey Latin America made Mexico for us.  We feel as if we have a million magical memories that will last forever - sunsets over the Caribbean sea, ruins in the midst of the jungles, seas of pink flamingos, crocodiles nestling on the banks of the Canyon Del Sumida.  We were nervous as non Spanish speakers but we felt so supported without that horrible feeling of being over organized. Thank you again

  • The visit to Calakmul which was hard work but the reward of climbing the pyramids and seeing the jungle stretching in all directions will stay in the memory.  This was followed the next day by a wonderful, and unexpected, half day at Laguna Bacular.  We thought we were only going to be driving through on our way to Tulum.  However we were treated to an extensive tour of the fortress there followed by a superb boat trip on the lagoon.  It was the icing on the cake to a wonderful two days, with an excellent guide (Luis Alberto) and driver (Ivan).

  • "Many highlights: The views at Uxmal. Waking up with a view of the observatory at Chichen Itza from our hotel bed. The excellent guides. The friendliness of the staff (and impromptu language lessons) at Petit Lafitte."
