Hotel Porto da Lua
Porto da Lua is an attractive hotel with a breezy, tropical feel with a unique location on right on Praia do Forte beach.
The attractive small hotel, Porto da Lua, is the only one to be set right on the sea shore at Praia do Forte. Secluded by palms and lush foliage, its guestrooms are simple and cheerfully decorated, with a private terrace or balcony where you can swing in a hammock fanned by the cooling ocean breeze. All have wonderful views through the palms towards the beach just below.
There's an airy, tropical feel throughout the building, setting the tone for unhurried days of relaxation. The hotel has a restaurant and bar with the option to dine outside. Although not luxurious, little extras like afternoon tea elevate this very likeable pousada beyond expectations.
What our clients say
Most memorable was the approach toward the Falls on impossibly built metal walkways you could not have imagined the spectacle laid out before you. Our guide who sat on the prow of the boat and the atonishment as he leaped into the water distracting a Cayman and bringing it on board tightly held The view from the top looking down on Rio from the location of the Redemmer.AC, Saffron walden
Highlight: The wildlife at Mutum - tapir, caimans, anteater, capybara, massive range of birdlifeDL, London
The Iguazu falls were amazing. Brazilia was also a real experience and is undersold - it is a really singular place to visit - the parliament and other buildings are free to visit if you time it right. Rio was Rio and not to be missed all the highlights are highlights and will never forget visiting Christ the Redemptor on a steaming hot day. Christmas on Copacabana should be experienced by everyone - forget the turkey in the cold- this is how to live!AB, Reading
Iguazu Falls, both sides spectacular, getting a flavour of Rio and being taken such good care of as a single traveller.MB, Thatcham
The whole trip was memorable because it was one fantastic adventure in four parts . We absolutely loved the stays in the Amazon & the Pantanal and felt exhilarated from the visits. We saw & experienced great things and have so many lovely memories.GHS, Iver
Most Memorable Moment: Spotting 7 Jaguars in Refugio Caiman and Iguacu Falls. I also had my photo taken with Ronaldinho on Copacabana Beach. Ha!BW, London
