This exclusive Camp in Argentine Patagonia is not just unusual in concept: it’s the only accommodation within sight of the Perito Moreno Glacier.

Pristine El Calafate Luxury Camp is a collection of half a dozen fully equipped wooden domes with a uniquely privileged setting. One of the very few properties on the boundary of Los Glaciares National Park, the Camp sits within a Patagonian estancia enjoying distant views of the most iconic of Argentine Patagonia’s attractions: the Perito Moreno Glacier.

You will feel cosy yet close to nature in an elemental setting of wild steppe dotted with gnarled, wind-sculpted trees, lapped by glacial waters and framed by a huge sky. Each comfortable dome has a deck with an outdoor heated tub overlooking the lake, accommodating up to three people with a king bed, sofa bed, living area with armchair, coffee table, wood-burning stove and bathroom.

Guests staying 3 nights or more are offered full board, transfers to and from the airport and a boat trip to view the Perito Moreno Glacier up close. Also included is a programme of on-site experiences including hiking, cycling or horse-riding in surrounding Estancia Dos Lagos, star-gazing (skies permitting) and glacier viewing from afar at strategic onsite locations. The airport at El Calafate is around an hour away.

The camp was constructed within the ranch of Estancia Dos Lagos with conservation at its heart. Owners Pristine pledge investment in expanding protected areas for every booking. Domes are constructed with sustainable materials, and the camp uses water rationing, adheres to a zero-waste policy and uses energy from one of the largest hotel solar power plants in Argentina.
