Small, charming and intimate converted colonial mansion on a quiet street, housing just five rooms that each brim with character.

Posada del Angel is a small, charming and intimate colonial mansion located on a quiet street in the centre of historical Antigua. Its simple luxury and character have attracted many distinguished guests including Bill and Hillary Clinton. The hotel's security, privacy and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect choice for honeymooners.

The hotel has only five rooms, each uniquely decorated in an attractive traditional style and furnished with a wood-burning fireplace that is welcome on a chilly Antigua evening. The intimate public areas, tasteful and painted in bold ochre colours, lead out to a terracotta patio and quaint lap pool with overhanging tropical foliage.

Our Expert's Opinion

This is a beautifully restored colonial house, made into an equally amazing boutique hotel, with many details scattered around. I love the history and the care with which it this was kept in every corner.
