Casa Blanca is a cheerful, Moroccan-style family-run guest house  in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, San Cristóbal Island. 

Casa Blanca lives up to its name: a gleaming white, Moorish-style guest house overlooking the harbour in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the ‘capital’ of the Galapagos Islands on San Cristobal.  The hotel started life as a bed and breakfast, with just a couple of guest rooms but now it has expanded into an agreeable small hotel, still managed by the same family.

The white-washed guest rooms are small and simply furnished,   but there are some nice little quirky artisan touches in primary colours with local paintings and towel art. There’s an independently-run café-restaurant on the property, which plays Ecuadorian and Caribbean music – sometimes quite loudly..

The location is handy for town and accessing the pretty boardwalks close to the waterfront, where iguanas and sea-lions are wont to doze.
