The Falls Resort is an agreeable mid-range hotel close to the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park. The gardens are especially lovely, and attract all sorts of wildlife.

The Falls Resort, an agreeable mid-range hotel, is situated just a ten-minute walk from the coast, close to Manuel Antonio National Park, on a leafy hilltop. There is a handy shuttle bus which takes visitors to the beach, the national park and Quepos, the little port town a short distance away.

The generously-proportioned rooms are attractive, if simply furnished, with generously sized beds, private bathroom and either an outdoor porch or a terrace. If you need any information or excursions to be organised, the accommodating staff are only too eager to please.

The gardens, overlooked by the guest rooms, are especially lovely, and attract all sorts of wildlife including monkeys, agoutis and bats. There's also a small pool and a restaurant.

  • Resort was great, staff accommodating. Area is quite touristy, we are glad we save d this place until end. We ate supper once in the restaurant. Breakfast was good.

  • This place grew on us, especially with Flora the sloth hanging from the telephone wires outside our window. Staff were really lovely, particularly Luis in the restaurant and bar staff…
