Luxurious yet not pretentious, this hotel blends perfectly with its natural surroundings, due to some creative architectural forethought.

Luxurious yet not pretentious, the Andaz on Costa Rica’s Pacific Peninsula Papagayo blends in perfectly with its natural surroundings, thanks to some creative architectural forethought. The hotel belongs to the Hyatt portfolio but has many unique touches. A short drive from Liberia airport it shares it’s grounds and some of the many facilities, such as the 18 hole golf course, with its equally prestigious neighbour the Hotel Four Seasons. But for those seeking privacy, some of the larger suites have their own pool.

The ultra-contemporary rooms, all polished wood and natural shades, are spacious and well-equipped with walk-in rain showers, and up-to-date technological amenities including free Wifi, as you’d expect from a property of this standard. There are four restaurants serving everything from simple Costa Rican tapas to fine-dining cuisine featuring fresh seafood. Spa treatments include some quite imaginative options such as a sugar cane massage and rice and bean scrub! Children and the energetic are well catered for with kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding available. A Cambi Kids Club is also on site for younger children (4 – 12 years) so that parents get a chance to relax in peace.
