Surrounded by trees dripping with bromeliads and alive with butterflies and hummingbirds, Cloud Forest Lodge is the ideal hotel to be enveloped by nature.

Beautifully set within the Bellbird Biological Corridor between the twin reserves of Monteverde and Santa Elena, Cloud Forest Lodge feels like a mountain hideaway enveloped by nature. Low-key and understated – yet high on style, comfort and service – the lodge offers remarkably spacious suites with ample windows inviting guests to feel immersed in nature with few distractions (no TVs here, although you’ll find WiFi). Each comes with a private terrace for recharging as you look out for birds and other wildlife. The focus on the natural is carried through into the restaurant, gaining a reputation as among the best in the area, and where fresh ingredients are the order of the day. Guests can wander trails in the lodge’s 23-hectare private forest reserve between visits to nearby attractions.
