A small lodge with volcano views close to Tenorio National Park and the Rio Celeste.

This small and tranquil lodge is just a short drive from the town of Bijagua de Upala and only 20 minutes from the entrance to Tenorio National Park and the Rio Celeste. Nestled among tropical gardens filled with colourful heliconias and fruit trees and offering beautiful views of both Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes, it’s a little haven for nature lovers and birdwatchers alike.

Wildlife is never far away: tapirs, monkeys, and sloths are often spotted in the grounds, and over 230 bird species have been recorded here.

The lodge features 12 spacious bungalows, each with large panoramic windows and a private terrace. While there’s no swimming pool, guests can unwind in one of two jacuzzis after a day of exploring. Breakfast is included, and during high season, dinner is also available.
