Imposing 1920s mansion on one of the city's most beautiful hills: an excellent location with fabulous views and many nearby restaurants.

This imposing 1920s mansion is located on Cerro Alegre, one of the most beautiful hills in Valparaíso, where the city's wealthy families built their homes. Its location is second to none, with numerous cafés and restaurants nearby.

Casa Higueras has 20 bright and airy rooms with spacious modern bathrooms. The main difference from room to room is the size and the view – some look out to the hills and some to the bay; a few have a private terrace from which to admire the vista.

The hotel's five floors languorously slope down the hillside – the entrance is on the third floor. There's a breakfast room and restaurant, and on the basement floor is a swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. The roof terrace has stunning views of the city and the bay.

What our clients say

  • "Excellent. Spacious rooms and good swimming pool."

    JS, London
  • A top quality oasis. Quirky layout. Good restaurant. Valparaíso is hilly so walking about takes effort, but it was close to an ascensor and restaurants.

    DH, Solihull
  • Best breakfasts of whole trip.

    GG, London
  • All the staff gave excellent service and could not be faulted.

    HS, Grays
  • Unbeatable location, best possible start to the holiday.

    DA Northallerton
  • "Casa Higueras was a very attractive boutique hotel. The food again very good. If I was to return I would upgrade to a better room preferably less noisy and with air conditioning.”
