explora Torres del Paine
Exceptional experience-driven hotel in one of South America's most spellbinding locations, with its own brand of adventurous and totally unpretentious luxury.
This exceptional hotel is out of the ordinary in every sense, from its eye-popping location on Lake Pehoé surrounded by granite massifs to the experience-driven explora ethos, which places nature and adventure at the forefront of its own totally unpretentious brand of luxury.
Explora Torres del Paine is a sumptuously comfortable base from which to enjoy the jagged mountains, wildflower meadows, sinuous rivers and glaciers that define this windswept wilderness of breathtaking beauty. You can explore Torres del Paine National Park on foot or horseback, or simply relax and enjoy the scenery from the hotel, where the simplicity of the design aesthetic only accentuates the vistas framed by panoramic windows.
Though there's an emphasis on the great outdoors, Explora Torres del Paine is a family-friendly place that welcomes guests of all ages and fitness levels – the included programme of activities is tailored around each individual. Excursions, led by expert guides, include hikes to Lago Grey Glacier and the spectacular trek to the peaks of Las Torres, and the hotel also has daily riding options for equestrians from beginner-level up.
On arrival at Punta Arenas airport, you will be met and driven to the hotel, a 4-5 hour journey through rugged, remote, and eerily beautiful scenery. The hotel is just 90-minutes' drive from Puerto Natales.
What our clients say
97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.
"In our opinion this is the best hotel in the world. Every aspect was memorable but the Explora Patagonia stands out."MG,Winsford
Faultless service, could not do enough to help. Would recommend highly, particularly for the positive attitude of their house/serving staff, guides and drivers.MM, Southsea
"An excellent resort and an unforgettable experience.”TM, South Kensington
Definitely return in the futre!
“Explora lived up to expectation and was so good we are considering another visit.”Cj, Kentish Town
What a wonderful place to stay. Great facilities, stunning views, superb food. Very friendly and helpful staff offering informative talks each evening. Didn't want to leave! Range of horses was excellent, from beginners to experienced. All horse in good conditionMP, Hemel Hempstead
"For more serious hikers. After a third stay in an explorer began to get a bit bored with the limited menu choice."DB, London
Beyond our expectations
“Patagonia was beyond expectations. The scenery is undescribable and the Lodge was amazing as were the guides and the tours.”AQ, Clapham
"Wonderful views from our room! Very efficient guiding staff who accommodated the lack of mobility of a couple of oldies very well after initial discussions. We didn't like the frenetic 7.30 rush to sort out following day's activities- they could learn from Explora Atacama's routine."FL, Dewsbury
"Amazing hotel with fabulous facilities, beautiful views, wonderful staff and guides, and delicious meals and cocktails! Our hikes and horse-riding were fantastic, the guides were so knowledgeable and friendly and we liked the evening talks which enabled us to find out more about the Torres del Paine National Park. Would thoroughly recommend."MS, Bath
Full marks for a lovely hotel situated in a beautiful location. All staff gave the impression that they were pleased to be of service, and consequently made a 100 per cent experience.GF, Cambridge
“All guides excellent. Good customer relations but on the verge of being a bit too much of a good thing. We were probably the least fit people there and perhaps a broader range of easier hikes might be helpful?”CK, Edinburgh
