December - February

Soaring temperatures drive many locals out of the capital in search of cooler climes, meaning Santiago is less congested and offers better views of the surrounding Andean peaks. The Santiago a Mil Theatre and Performing Arts Festival takes place in January, and from February the Vendimias wine harvesting festivals kick off in the vineyards.
