Its ultra-modern geometrical exterior is clad in classic Chilote wood shingle, giving it an unmistakable sense of place. Even inside you never feel far away from the hotel’s fabulous setting: each of its minimalist guest rooms has a picture window and sweeping fjord or wetland views. Meanwhile, the lounge – with its floor to ceiling windows – is flooded with light and warmed by an open fire. Magical.

After a day spent exploring you can unwind in the spa with Jacuzzi, steam room and massage service before settling into a delicious evening meal, accompanied by superb Chilean wines.
