Dynamic, stylish and nostalgic, Buenos Aires is one of South America’s most elegant cities. Discover colonial plazas, shady avenues, quirky antique fairs, street art, world famous theatres and football stadiums.

Overview

Buenos Aires is a city worth crossing the Atlantic for in its own right. Dynamic, stylish and nostalgic, it’s the continent’s most European city, but with uniquely South American verve.

The Argentine capital’s contrasting neighbourhoods reveal colonial plazas, shady avenues, quirky antique fairs, street art, world famous theatres and football stadiums and spruced-up metropolitan port districts.

With extensive parks, cutting-edge boutique hotels, designer boutiques and a myriad of restaurants, bars and nightclubs, it’s the beating heart of Argentina and hub for visits throughout the country. The city is centred around historic Plaza de Mayo, overlooked by the stunning cathedral and Casa Rosada, scene of Eva Peron’s famous speech.

Rich with culture, be sure to try Argentinian cuisine at traditional food spots like hole-in-the-wall parrillas or choripan street food stalls. Visit a local milonga, a traditional tango hall, or go to see a tango show at San Telmo where the dance first originated. You’ll find a plethora of authentic experiences on a Buenos Aires holiday
