Puqio
Puqio offers luxury tents and gorgeous rooms in an intimate, natural setting at the heart of the Colca Valley in southern Peru.
This luxury tented camp overlooks the Colca Canyon with sweeping mountain views just outside the village of Yanque near Chivay.
The stone Pirca Casitas have contemporary furniture, wooden beams, local art, mood lighting, wood burning stoves, luxurious bathrooms, freestanding bathtubs, showers and terraces with breathtaking views.
Alternatively, the chic safari-style tents (carpas) have outdoor terraces with sitting area, desks, wardrobes, heating with woodburning stoves, outdoor bathtubs, indoor and outdoor showers, and garden or mountain views.
Puqio is set in gardens and the main lodge has a homely communal area living area with sofas, antiques, dining area, heating and terrace. There is a clay oven for open flame authentic Andean meals, and a traditional Pachamanca dinner can be arranged.
Selected transfers are included, along with shared excursions such as: visits to Inca ruins; thermal baths, weaving communities, local geysers and a viewpoint overlooking the canyon where majestic condors can often be seen swooping overhead.
