Handsome colonial-style hotel ideally situated for exploring the historic centre of Campeche.

Close to the heart of the sultry port city of Campeche, the ochre façade of this traditional, colonial-style hotel sits easily with the colourful architecture of this relatively little-visited provincial capital. You’re just a stone’s throw from the city’s tightly woven grid of historic streets and the lovely Plaza de Independencia, with its cathedral and stately colonnades. The hotel has somewhat faded charm but has all you need for a brief visit, including comfy guest rooms equipped with air-con to deal with the gulf coast heat, a restaurant/bar and a small pool. Most junior suites come with a balcony or terrace.

What our clients say

  • Uxmal and Kabah: Much quieter than Chichen Itza but therefore more enjoyable.

    JF Bishops Aug 2025
  • Best experience: “Chichen Itza. That was the reason for making the trip and it lived up to its expectations. I also loved the snorkelling in Azumal. It was spectacular.

    TH Sweeden Aug 2025
  • Highlights:- We liked the variety of our trip -  ancient Mayan ruins, real Mexican towns and people, and beautiful beaches. It was wonderful to access Chichen Itza from the grounds…

    PR, Brentwood Sep 2011
