The Pizzorno Estate is a family business which has been operating this well-respected vineyard for four generations. A traditional winery, the grapes are still harvested manually and wine is stored in top quality oak barrels. The welcoming posada has just a handful of guest rooms, each with a private deck and views of the countryside, and a grape’s throw from the on-site restaurant.  Although surrounded by countryside, you’re little more than 20km outside of Montevideo, making this a tranquil base for sightseeing in the capital.
