"Obviously Machu Pichu was a highlight but Ollaytaytambo was impressive, Chinchero was lovely and Cusco was fantastic [we're looking into buying a house there!] the Vistadome, particularly with the staff on the return journey to Cusco, who put on a fashion show, music and dancing for us, which they genuinely seemed to enjoy too, was fantastic. I'd also really recommend Huaco Pacllano in Lima - I'd never seen a site like it before."SAG, Hythe
Highilght: Watching condors rise on the thermals in Sondondo.RE, London
Most Memorable Moment?: Getting to the top of Huayna Picchu.PR, Edinburgh

Inca Trail: This was an incredible experience. The guide/porters were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.DH, Aylesbury
The Inca Trail with the 3 day camping has to be the most memorable part. It was an extraordinary adventure - tough, exhilarating, stunning and as a family with grown up children an amazing challenge to do as a group of 5. We all loved Peru and our holiday. Peru surprised us. It blew our minds. The country is stunning, the people charming, the history fascinating and the food absolutely delicious. We look forward to returning and maybe trying the Salcantay trek! We will definitely want to return to El Tambo for more chill time!GC, London
Highlights: That's hard.., so many... for Alex: inca trail, for us: condors, lake titicaca, huchuy qosqo, ruins around cusco, colca canyon riding, chinchero market, moray & maras, macchu Picchu / inkaterra. We loved it all.CB, Sandwich
We really enjoyed the whole trip and found the Peruvian people very friendly and helpful and determined to better themselves and their country.SJ, Cambridge
The Belmond train ride to Machu Picchu followed by the tour round Machu Picchu was stunning and very memorable. However, the Amazon was also wonderful, especially the breakfast in a creek, the sunset trip, and the walk in the rainforest.MS, Alton
A short note of thanks for organising our Peruvian holiday. The fast moving itinerary went exactly to plan, all the accommodation was excellent and exactly as you described....We all thoroughly enjoyed the two weeks and will recommend JLA to friends.AF, Chiswick
The whole holiday was memorable and the flow and way it had been planned was excellent - we had a build up that allowed us to visit other parts of Peru, acclimatise and take in the history, culture and natural scenery before capping it off with the Inca trail and Machu Picchu!AB, Reading
Inca trail, Machu Picchu, cusco, colca canyon, Arequipa, uros islands Guides on inca trail, sacred valley, 3rd party: cooking course in cusco, trek in colca canyon, salsa dancing cusco, via Ferata in sacred valley.CM, Eastleigh
Highlights?: Visiting Machu Picchu and climbing the mountain. The hot springs at Colca Lodge. Seeing the condors in the Colca Canyon. Trying to walk 100yds at almost 5000m. :-)MP, London
We had a private tour, which we think was the best way to do this sort of trip. Although we had only 9 days in Peru in the Cuzco area, we managed to cover an extensive amount of material in depth and the whole trip was unforgettable. The local organisation was superb - punctual, knowledgeable, reliable, etc.PS, Reading
"The most enjoyable… having chocolate pancakes in the narrow cobbled streets of Cusco. And in the mountain village of Aguas Calientas. And in lots of other places. The kids having fun with the cats at the cat park of Lima. Meeting a mountain family and finding out about their way of life. This included meeting their guinea pigs – kept purely for their meat.”LBM, South Africa
Highlight?: Machu PicchuRN, London
Most Memorable Moments?: Seeing a forest of Puyas de Raimondi near Huarez The trek from Ascobamba to Pillcocancha particularly the hospitality of the campesinos and watching cows being milked by hand. The visit to Tarmatambo visiting the ruins and being approached by a small boy called Kevin who persuaded his mother to give us lunch. Having a small face carved for me at Molinos near Jauja by a woodcarver. He wouldn't take any money.RM, London
Highlight?: The train journey to M Picchu and seeing M Picchu - absolutely awesome and I got a seat on the left of the train (for best views!). The tour of the Salt Flats and journey to San Pedro were stunning too. Really good tour guide during this part. Hannah at JLA was a great help before and during the holiday. She made it possible to visit on the desired dates (e.g. so I could go on a star gazing tour in San Pedro during a change in mood cycle). Always replied promptly to my emails. Especially appreciated little extras - e.g. being on the left of the train to M. Picchu for the best views, being allocated window seats on planes, etc. All this meant I could really enjoy the scenary. Stand out hotels were in Urubamba, M. Picchu, and Uyuni - all exceeding my expectations. I didn't realise so many lunches / dinners were included which was a great bonus.MP, Amersham
“The food in Brazil and Peru was amazing. This was unexpectedly the best foodie holiday we ever had.”NV, Bethnal Green
"All of it was memorable in different ways as the culture is so different. We found the Peruvian people helpful and cheerful. We enjoyed Arequipa, the Colca Canyon and Lake Titicaca, along with all of the trips and transfers."GH, Keighley
Highlights? :The Vistadome train journey to Machu Picchu and visiting the ruins themselves.ME, Maidstone
I really liked variety on this trip - amazing culture, history, nature all in one trip. Machu Picchu tour was great, excursions in rainforest were very memorable.
Machu Picchu was the most memorable part of the trip. The rain forest was fun. We loved the Andean Express train journey too.MdlATS, London
