This first-class boutique hotel is a haven of creativity and repose in the upscale residential neighbourhood of Polanco.

Classy and understated, Kimpton Virgilio sits easily within Polanco, one of our favourite Mexico City neighbourhoods. The hotel has an appealing location on a typically leafy street, convenient for exploring local restaurants, shops and museums. It’s around 20 minutes by taxi from the Zocalo, the enormous plaza at the heart of historic Mexico City. The lobby, restaurant and corridors are adorned with Mexican modern art. Each of the stylish guest rooms has impeccable, unique décor with handmade tiles, plush beds, custom-made Mexican design and locally-woven rugs laid on hardwood floors. The hotel has a fitness centre, a street-side tapas restaurant and rooftop bar with plunge pool, serving cocktails under cabanas. A few steps from Kimpton Virgilio is Avenida Presidente Masaryk, the city’s equivalent of Fifth Avenue, filled with big-name brands. The National Museum of Anthropology and grounds of Lincoln Park are nearby.
