The sumptuous beds, relaxing garden and views from rooftop pool & bar make it easy to linger at the Banyan Tree for several days.

Banyan Tree Puebla celebrates Puebla’s rich heritage with a restored UNESCO-listed chapel, a serene courtyard with fountain, purple jacaranda trees and traditional Mexican textiles, pottery and artwork.

This historic, luxurious hotel has beautiful rooms in a colonial building on the edge of Puebla’s historic centre. More than 70 elegant rooms and suites have classic decor with traditional archways, period-style wood furnishings, exposed brickwork, cast-iron lamps, plush rugs and bathrooms with bright blue Talavera tiles, large tubs and rainmaker showers. The suites are even more impressive, adding living rooms, larger bedrooms and bathrooms, while some have private balconies with lovely views of old Puebla. The hotel also has a rooftop pool, a small spa and fitness centre, while the three restaurants showcase diverse cuisine – from French to Italian and Thai.

The dynamic city of Puebla, 2 hours south of Mexico City, is becoming an essential stop on many visitors’ itineraries, thanks to its majestic colonial-style historic centre and characterful cuisine. The historic centre of Puebla, including the Renaissance cathedral, Zócalo and Museo Amparo, is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
