First class cruise vessels offering excellent service and a feeling of spaciousness and elegance on its scenic crossings between Chile and Argentina.

Rather than crossing by road between Chile and Argentina through one of the passes in the Andes, travel from one country to the other by sea - via Cape Horn. This first class Patagonian expedition cruise will take you to places inaccessible by land: velveteen fjords, virgin forests, immense glaciers and colonies of marine wildlife. This is a fabulous way to explore deep Patagonia in full comfort and well away from the everyday distractions of phone signals and the internet.

M/V Stella Australis and sister ship M/V Ventus Australis offer high standards of comfort and service, with a feeling of spaciousness and elegance throughout ensuring a really enjoyable and relaxing experience with open bar included on all cruises. Each has 100 or so roomy cabins which are stylishly decorated, each with a picture window framing the ever-changing view.

There’s a choice of lounges, deck areas, a dining room offering a sophisticated range of dishes, even a gym. Lectures on a range of subjects offer illuminating background information on the geography, wildlife and history of the region, and there are regular on-shore excursions which allow you to get closer to the spectacular scenery.

5-day cruises depart Punta Arenas (Chile) and Ushuaia (Argentina) twice a week. Conditions permitting, all cruises aim to land on Cape Horn, at the very tip of the Americas.

Our Expert's Opinion

This cruise gives you the opportunity of getting off the beaten track and being able to see glaciers and landscapes that are otherwise difficult to access. I felt so privileged to see this part of the world whilst being so well looked after by the staff on board.
