February - July

This is the dry season with less rainfall and temperatures ranging from 25-30oC in the lowest reaches. The region starts at the coast and heads into the mountains, growing cooler with higher altitudes. There are many wildlife spotting opportunities, and these months are ideal for bird-watching as temperatures are warm and the weather is dry. Being a tropical, forested region there can be rain at any time which generally arrives in short bursts.

August - January

The rains of the wet season arrive during these months, growing heavier towards the end of the year. Temperatures do not vary much, hovering between 25-30oC. The first few months of the wet season are still great for bird-watching, and the region can be visited throughout the year as long as you remember to pack waterproofs.
