Tinajani
In the southern Peruvian Andes, this tented camp in Tinajani Canyon has a spectacular location with mesmerising views of the high Altiplano.
About 4 hours’ drive north-west of Lake Titicaca, this restored sheep farm on a 400-acre private reserve boasts a beautiful setting on the route connecting Cusco, Puno and the Colca Valley.
Tinajani has a farmhouse and six luxury safari-style explorer tents. Each consists of two connected tents, a bedroom and sitting area with a private bathroom and a hot tub enjoying wonderful views.
Sculpted by the erosion of an ancient lake that once shaped the Altiplano, Tinajani Canyon is surrounded by unique landscapes. Guests can hike or bike along nature trails to discover local flora and fauna, while the clear skies of the Andes are ideal for stargazing. Visits to nearby artisan workshops offer an insight into the local culture. Accommodation is on a full board basis and the property also has internet connection.
