The Beagle
A romantic retro-style brigantine offering an adventurous sea-faring experience in an informal ambiance.
The Beagle, named after her illustrious forebear HMS Beagle on which Charles Darwin voyaged to the islands inspiring his Theory of Evolution, is a retro-style brigantine appealing to visitors who are looking for the romantic and close-to-nature appeal of a smaller vessel.
You’ll have an informal, truly sea-faring experience on this schooner. There are picture windows and wide sun decks from which to survey the seascape. The interior is kitted out with nautical blue and white décor and teak wood furnishings. You’ll enjoy a friendly and intimate ambiance: the boat has just seven air-conditioned cabins with en suite bathrooms, and a crew of six including your qualified naturalist guide.
A cruise on the Beagle is a real adventure; in addition to the guided landings on the islands, snorkelling equipment and kayaks are available for you to explore the ocean above and below the surface.

The Beagle is a brigantine giving it a romantic feel and you feel almost like Darwin exploring the islands for the first time. What I liked most about the Beagle though is that the owners and operators are Galapagos born and bred so their personal love and enthusiasm for the islands is at the core of their expeditionary cruises round these enchanted islands.
