Finca Hotel Cotopaxi Pungo is a cosy Spanish colonial style countryside hotel with magnificent views of snow-capped volcanoes including Cotopaxi.

It’s the views over the dominant snow-dipped mountain peaks, each with an icy mantle gleaming in the sunlight, which makes this attractive hotel and finca a popular choice for countryside lovers.

The three story white-washed building was inspired by traditional Spanish colonial techniques and design, as were the guest rooms, each of which has either balcony or terrace and large windows from which to enjoy the views. The rooms are made exceptionally cosy with open fireplaces (teo have an electric stove) and polished wood furnishings. There’s no TV in the rooms but there is access to Wifi.

The restaurant has floor to ceiling picture windows so you can enjoy mountain views as you tuck in to a menu of international and Andean dishes. There are walking trails around the property and horse-riding excursions are offered.
