A contemporary, design focused hotel with an extensive wellness offering and within easy reach of Salento, Filandia and the Cocora Valley.

Bio Habitat sits on a forested hillside outside the city of Armenia and, unlike many of the traditional haciendas in the Coffee Region, is a contemporary, design focused hotel that feels harmoniously integrated into its natural surroundings.

Its 28 rooms and suites – known as ‘habitats’ – are surrounded by exuberant flora and fauna, with large floor to ceiling windows and balconies maintaining a constant connection with nature. Some categories include private hot tubs, while others feature green roof platforms ideal for stargazing. Do note that moving around the property involves plenty of walking and steps, though a couple of golf buggies are available to shuttle guests when needed.

The hotel’s wellness offering is extensive, with a spa providing a broad menu of therapies inspired by the landscape, alongside daily yoga and meditation sessions. There’s also an infinity pool, a striking glass bottom pool, and a Jacuzzi, all with beautiful views.

The slow food style restaurant continues the wellness theme, serving a healthy, varied menu using produce grown on site or sourced from local suppliers. The outdoor bar by the restaurant has a fire pit and a live DJ several evenings a week.

Guests can explore a 1.5 km nature trail with opportunities for birdwatching and night tours. For days out, the colourful towns of Salento, Filandia and the Cocora Valley are all within easy reach, as are many coffee and cacao fincas.
