Luciano K is a classy, chic boutique-style art deco hotel in trendy Lastarria, central Santiago.
Lastarria is an up-and-coming, arty residential district close to the colonial centre of Santiago and the museums and cafés of Bellas Artes.
On the edge of this folksy neighhbourhood, a stone’s throw from the urban Parque Florestal and surrounded by a mix of refurbished historic residences and modern tower blocks, is the splendidly idiosyncratic Hotel Luciano K, which has retained many of the glamorous 1920s art deco features - in marble, wood and wrought iron - of the striking designer building in which it is housed. This evocative style is complemented by smart guest accommodation featuring sleek, contemporary design and up-to-date amenities.
This was once the tallest building in the city and the hotel’s chic guest rooms occupy the top floors including a rooftop terrace with plunge pool, sauna and an al fresco lounge bar where you can look out over the rooftops of this city framed by the snow-dusted Andes.

Patagonia, the scenery and wildlife, getting up close to a glacier, Easter Island fulfilling a childhood dream and much more, the perfect volcano, Osorno, the geology and flamingoes of the Atacama. Santiago and Buenos Aires both quite different but equally fascinating.EL, London
Highlight: Torres Del PaineCG, Amersham
Our experience at Patagonia Camp was the most memorable part of the trip. Everyone at the camp really cared for the place and the experience they were providing for their clients, from the restaurant staff to the reception staff to the guides. They were all delightful to deal with and the guides in particular deserve special mention for their knowledge and commitment to the preservation of the TdP National Park and the ethos of the camp.RE, Knutsford

Numerous memories but seeing a puma emerge from bushes 10 paces or fewer away from us when returning from Mirador las Torres. It totally ignored us but gave us some shaky photos.EG, Hereford
From the point of view of JLA's organisation of our trip, the most memorable feature was the quality of the many small hotels we stayed in and the unforgettable views we so often had from our rooms. From the point of view of the trip itself, the most memorable places were 6 days of Torres del Paine in glorious sunshine and the indescribably wild and beautiful Southern Ocean.KB, Esher
We have travelled a lot in our lifetime but nothing prepares you for the breadth of landscapes that you will encounter in Chile. We had three weeks there and felt we only scratched the surface.CM, Trowbridge

Highlight?: The Grey GlacierJC, Ipswich
We loved all of southern Patagonia but four days at the Explora was undoubtedly the highlight.NM, London
Time in the Atacama - with Oscar!! Probably one of the most spectacular places we've visited as tourists and we have years of world travel experience behind us.RB, London
Highlights?: Too many to mention ! Great mix of culture, sights and experiences. Love the inclusion of a horse ride from The Singular in Patagonia.HJ,
Most memorable experience: "Sailing across the Magelllan Straits and getting off on Cape Horn. This was the key reason for my trip which was motivated by a dim and distant history lesson when I was 12 years old. To think that these treacherous waters were navigated and discovered by sailors in wooden boats over 500 years ago has always been a magical thought. Doing it in the comfort of 21st century luxury was a much better option for me but to think that I have walked in the footsteps of Magellan and later Darwin is quite something else."TEB, Grays
Most Memorable Moment: Cycling around Puerto Varas in Chile.JL, Studley
