Hotel Magnolia is a boutique hotel in central Santiago which skilfully blends the traditional with the contemporary.

This striking and elegant boutique hotel is well placed for exploring the historic downtown of Santiago and the arty Lastarria neighbourhood which has excellent restaurants and a lively street scene. The delightful Santa Lucia Hill park, favourite among couples for romantic rendez-vous, is just a stone’s throw away.

Originally a large family residence it’s been beautifully renovated and its public areas cleverly blend original styles with an ultra-modern finish, each feature successfully offsetting the other: exposed brick walls, a showpiece marble stairway, stained glass windows, black-and-white tiles and suspended glass floors. The guest rooms are ultra-contemporary. There’s also a lobby bar and restaurant for lunch and dinner. A particularly nice feature is the hotel’s rooftop terrace which has a second bar and good views – great for a pisco sour at sunset on a warm summer evening in Santiago.

What our clients say

  • We found the Chilean people very friendly, obliging & happy.

    EL, Winkleigh Feb 2017
  • The Alto Plano of Bolivia was striking. Torres del Paine national park too was memorable as was Perito Moreno glacier.

    GOR, Nov 2017
  • From the point of view of JLA's organisation of our trip, the most memorable feature was the quality of the many small hotels we stayed in and the unforgettable views…

    KB, Esher Jan 2017
  • Highlight?: Easter Island - amazing place - very good food, hardly any tourists and extraordinary history/statues etc. We could easily have stayed an extra night there. I would strongly recommend…

    CK, Ashtead Apr 2018
  • Most Memorable Moment?: Very difficult to pick one from so many but probably the walk up to Torres Del Paine Mirador - although it was a tough day.

    SB, Milnthorpe Dec 2017
  • We really enjoyed Easter Island but the Atacama was the most memorable part!
