Hotel Bidasoa
Hotel Bidasoa is tucked away on the northern fringe of Santiago, in the quiet neighbourhood of Vitacura. With its stylish botanical décor and eco-conscious vibe it feels like an oasis within the city from the moment you enter. If you’re just passing through Santiago this is a good choice for an overnight stay as it has all you need: a deck-garden area with a small lap-pool, welcoming bistro-style bar and a well-regarded Mediterranean-themed restaurant. There’s no need to venture out once you’re settled in.
They’re focussed on sustainability here: you’ll find eco-friendly toiletries, a lean on recycling and the hotel supports community initiatives. Vitacura has a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Otherwise, upscale Las Condes and Providencia, with their array of restaurants and entertainment, are a short taxi ride.

Our Expert's Opinion
Located a 20 minute drive from downtown Santiago, I was unsure about the location of the Bidasoa but my initial reticence soon changed. The Bidasoa was an excellent choice – far enough from the bustle of the city but still close to enjoy the sights during the day. What really made my stay though was the evening meal I had as well as the excellent sustainability initiatives. A real gem!
