Rustic non-profit 7 room lodge at a working research field station

Caiman House, located at the edge of Yupukari Village in the central Rupununi region of Guyana, is an important field station for the research of local species and a hub for several participatory community development projects. To help fund its endeavours, there are 7 modest, but comfortable guest rooms on site, 6 with private bathrooms and all run with power from the lodge’s own solar panels. All meals are included and sourced from the nutrient rich surrounds. The accommodation is operated as a non-profit organisation, with all proceeds going towards achieving its environmental and social project goals.
