Oceanfront house accommodating up to 6 guests with serviced, self-catering accommodation in an idyllic, romantic setting: the perfect base for independent exploration of the Emerald Coast.

The lovely oceanfront Casa Cairuçu is the ideal base for independent exploration of the bays and colonial settlements of Brazil’s idyllic Emerald Coast. It's a serviced self-catering property accommodating up to 6 guests. The house is ideal for a family or group of friends but it can be a romantic and affordable getaway for couples too.

Built in the style of a classic Brazilian summer house, with plenty of light and space, Casa Cairuçu sits on a rocky cliff smothered in tropical vegetation. The surrounding area is well-protected, unsullied by traffic and dotted with clean beaches, timeless fishing villages and forest trails. You may well feel cut off here, but for many people that's part of its appeal.

The beautiful yet simply decorated home, full of the colours of the sea and sky, has three en suite rooms with sea views. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and a small library of CDs, DVDs, books and board games for balmy evenings or rainy days. To ensure you really feel like you're on holiday rather than bogged down in chores, there’s a daily maid service and assistance with supermarket ordering. And if you prefer not to cook, your housekeeper can prepare the meals by arrangement locally.

You may well be tempted to just relax in a hammock on the property, but there’s lots to do in the area: top of the list must be a visit to the nearby colonial port of Paraty, chock-a-block with Portuguese houses lining its quaint lanes alongside art galleries, boutiques, bars and restaurants. Equally rewarding is a trip by schooner around the island-studded bay. There's also snorkelling equipment, a double kayak and SUP board at the house.
