This agreeable modern hotel has surely one of Rio’s best locations, right on Copacabana beach, within easy reach of the shops and restaurants of the city’s buzziest neighbourhood. It’s a medium-sized, superior quality hotel in a multi-story building and, in common with its sister Windsor properties, is decorated in muted colours and furnished in classy, no-fuss business style. Executive rooms are front-facing with views of the beach, while deluxe rooms and suites are at the top with balconies. One interesting feature for families is that on each floor at the end of the corridor three rooms can be closed off to create a connected space.
There’s a good range of facilities including an open-air plunge pool with loungers on the roof, with sweeping views along the beach and out over the ocean, sauna, fitness room, excellent restaurant and beach service opposite the front of the building with loungers and sunshades, refreshment service and security.
