Hidden Valley is a welcoming countryside lodge in the Mayan mountains of Belize's unspoilt interior.

Hidden Valley Wilderness Lodge sits a amidst a vast private nature reserve in Mountain Pine Ridge, a stunning region of waterfalls, rivers, lakes and caves surrounded by savannah and pine forest. It's wonderfully remote here, yet you're less than an hour from San Ignacio.

This is the perfect retreat for actively-minded guests who love being among nature, and one of the privileges of a stay here is the freedom to roam and explore the 3000-hectare estate with almost no-one else around.

The main compound comprises the original collection of a dozen or so homely cottages with green roofs, set in attractive tropical grounds. To complement these, a newer range of air-conditioned rooms and villas offers versatile accommodation for couples or families. Perhaps most unique is the Fire Tower, elevated above the treetops with panoramic views. At the heart of the resort is the main clubhouse with bar, lounge and a restaurant that serves tasty home-cooked style meals. There’s a lovely small pool and the nearby hot tub is ideal for soothing tired limbs whilst gazing up at the night sky.

The lodge has an extensive network of walking and biking trails and bird watching in the area is rewarding. Highlights include Butterfly Falls where swimming is possible in the aquamarine jungle pool, and the little-known Thousand Foot Falls, the highest single drop in Central America.
