Welcoming Argentine estancia offering superb riding opportunities, a wonderfully homely atmosphere and a real sense of history.

Warm hospitality awaits you at the Anglo-Argentine working cattle ranch Estancia Los Potreros. By day, ride across rolling open hills and by night enjoy home-cooking, wine and entertaining anecdotes from your hosts.

There is a real sense of history at this isolated ranch, which has been in the same family for generations and where English is the spoken language. But its prime draw has to be its stable of 50 excellent, responsive horses, along with a network of riding trails across glorious sierras and meadows.

The 200-year-old ranch house offers wonderfully homely guestrooms dotted with books and antiques passed down through the family. While riding enthusiasts might get the most out of a stay, it's a perfect opportunity for beginners to try their skill in the saddle, as the horses are sure-footed and well-trained. Guests can also try their hand at an informal polo practice, as well as going walking and birdwatching, and there's an outdoor pool to enjoy on relaxed summer afternoons.

Most of Estancia Los Potreros’s energy is generated from wind, hydro and solar power. The farm has organic produce, providing guests with responsibly reared beef, free-range eggs and seasonal fruit and vegetables from the garden.
