Secluded alpine-style lodge on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, Hosteria La Escondida has chic, understated décor, light and airy relaxation spaces, Finnish sauna and private jetty.

Built in the alpine style so typical of Patagonia, this secluded lodge is right on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Inside, the feel is stylishly understated and modern, and the airy public areas are flooded with light from huge picture windows overlooking the gardens and lake.

Guestrooms are decorated in chic minimalist style, with white walls framed by wooden panels, beams and floorboards, and all have lake views and a Jacuzzi tub. There is a lovely restaurant housed in a quaint old cabin in the gardens, which serves French and local cuisine, and a bistro opening out into a smart modern conservatory. Other facilities include a living room and breakfast area, sauna, relaxation room and Finnish bath. Outside there is a heated pool and a jetty where guests can use the hotel’s kayaks in summer or simply drink in the natural beauty of the hotel’s surroundings from the lakeside.
