An elegant, classy US-operated ship which captures the nostalgia of life on the ocean.

Island Sky is a small, first class vessel carrying up to 112 guests on expedition cruises to Antarctica. While you are treated to an experience which is full of the thrills of unpredictability and exploration, you’ll be reassured that your every comfort is catered for in a pleasing and cosy environment on board. Your spacious state rooms and the public areas are fitted and furnished to the standards of a top quality classic hotel, with wardrobe, fridge, safe and robes provided in the cabins while the lounge is sumptuously carpeted, with sofas and mellow lighting.

The facilities are also top drawer, ranging from a presentation room, gym, observation deck and elevators, while the observation platform offers undiluted views. Lectures and presentations are delivered by polar veterans. The smart (but not stuffy or formal) restaurant serves gourmet cuisine and you may also eat al fresco.

Once you leave the ship by Zodiac (no steps down!) on an excursion, you’ll discover a particularly high level of professionalism and zeal among the members of the enthusiastic expedition team which is dedicated to looking after you and providing you with the best possible Antarctic experience.
