The Nazca Lines is a great extension. In the past there have been some concerns about the very small planes operating from the airstrip in Nazca itself. That is why Journey Latin America only work with the established airline, Aerodiana, who operate flights from Pisco and have an excellent safety record.
Rather than stay in Nazca, we prefer to base our clients in Paracas which is located by the sea and is just half-an-hour away. Staying in Paracas also works well at the end of a busy trip as it is a good base to relax for a few days. There are some lovely hotels, with gorgeous pools, spas and amazing seafood restaurants. The boat trip out to see the sea lions on the Ballestas Islands is not to be missed either.
