First class hotel with original Inca features, next to Cusco's most important ancient temple.

The luxurious Palacio del Inka has a great location in central Cusco, right beside the Qorikancha temple that was once a focal point of the Inca capital. While much of the large property consists of modern additions to the building’s historic core, a stroll around the central courtyard, cloisters and public areas reveals that it is steeped in history. Original Inca masonry can even be seen in the foundations visible in the bar.

Some guestrooms overlook the mountains, street or Qorikancha. Suites are mostly located in the historic section and are large and beautifully adorned with antique furniture and paintings; some have quaint little wooden balconies.

The restaurant serves an impressive buffet breakfast and the evening menu includes both local and international dishes. There is also a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and small gym. Hidden away on the fourth floor is a pleasant sun terrace.

Our Expert's Opinion

I love the history that oozes in every corner of this hotel – you feel as it you’re stepping into a living and breathing museum, though the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The rooms are big, attractive and, most important, have really comfy beds!
