Cycle around Arenal

COS03_CycleAroundArenal_CRE_Free

Mountain bike along the north shore of Lake Arenal for views of rolling hills and rainforest.

This 30-45km cycling trip skirts the north shore of Lake Arenal along a good road with very little traffic, passing a succession of picturesque vistas.

Dipping in and out of the tropical forest, the route at times opens out to look over serene rolling hills and at others enters a green tunnel of lush foliage where birds and monkeys can be glimpsed amongst the vine-strangled tree branches. On a bike you have the chance to really immerse yourself in the sights and sounds, feel the natural elements, and experience Costa Rica's unhurried rural life.
