Go ice trekking on a glacier

Few sights give such an impression of nature’s might and grandeur than the vast slab of opalescent blue ice that is the Perito Moreno Glacier. Covering an area of 250km² and towering up to a height of 60m, this frozen giant is utterly breathtaking to behold.

You can do more than just admire it from a distance, as long as you’re reasonably fit and up for a challenge. Armed with crampons for grip, you can trek right onto the glacier’s surface and climb up slopes of snow and ice beneath jutting blue pinnacles. Dazzling turquoise pools gather where the ice melts, creating a self-contained landscape of wintry wonders on the top of the glacier.

You are led at all times by expert mountain guides, and can choose from an easy, half-day 'mini-trekking' option for a taste of ice trekking or the challenging, full-day 'Big Ice' experience that promises to take you to farther reaches of the frozen terrain.
