Sleek, state-of-the-art ship specialising in Polar air-cruises.

Magellan Explorer is a sleek new expedition vessel, custom-built for Antarctic cruises, which began sailing in late 2019. She was conceived with an uncluttered contemporary design, featuring a striking pewter exterior and smart Scandinavian-style simplicity inside. She accommodates up to 100 guests (73 on air cruises – 76 from 2024/25 season) across seven categories of cabin, including dedicated singles – and even those have a king-sized bed. The décor is cool and fresh, with a colour scheme of white, silver and blond in harmony with the tones of the White Continent enhancing to the feeling of space.

The ship has a glass-enclosed observation lounge and presentation room with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, a spacious and stylish dining room, a well-stocked bar, library, a meeting room, gym, sauna and a medical clinic. The number and variety of these facilities is favourable compared to many other Antarctic vessels. The forward-facing observation deck leads to the bow of the ship and offers you an excellent vantage point from which to observe marine wildlife.
