DANCER AT CARNIVAL, BRAZIL

Visiting Rio during Carnival is a fantastic experience. I was lucky enough to be there for Carnival a few years back and there was a great atmosphere. The costumes and the floats heading into the sambadrome were so colourful and the details just amazing.

Hotels in Rio have a set 5-night stay over Carnival starting on the Friday 6th February next year; this fits well with your plans. We could definitely help put together a trip for you to include Rio, the sambadrome parade and perhaps a few other of the city’s iconic highlights such as Sugarloaf Mountain and Corcovado to see the Christ the Redeemer Statue. Buzios is certainly a good option for a beach stay, or another option could be the laid-back island of Ilha Grande. Both are a relatively short drive or drive and boat ride away.

Take a look at our Rio Carnival holiday – this will give you more of an idea of what your itinerary might look like.
