It is possible to drive your own hire car from Argentina to Chile. However, you need to contact the car hire company to arrange it well in advance as they will need to apply for a permit which costs approximately $200 USD. Otherwise you can consider travelling by public bus, which departs daily and takes around 7-8 hours, or in a private vehicle with a driver. And if you’d rather save yourself the hassle, we can arrange any of these options for you.
