An avant garde luxury beach retreat offering uncompromising luxury and impeccable service.

The stunning, eccentric Playa Vik hotel brims with wow factors.  It’s an astonishing blend of ultra-modern, avant-garde design, glass and titanium walls, incredible views, sleek service and contemporary Uruguayan art and sculpture. The luxurious property is built into a promontory leading down between two white sand beaches close to the town of José Ignacio, an attractive area with low rise houses and condominiums nestling between the dunes.

The highlight of highlights is its main social area the ‘Sculpture Building’ which houses the lounge, bar and restaurant and leads out on to a pool terrace and deck, perched high above the ocean and the perfect place for sundowners.  There are six individual guest houses (casas), all with ocean views, each sheltered below roofs covered in earth and planted with a Uruguayan wild-flower meadow.

Playa Vik welcomes everyone, including families, seeking style and luxury with an unconventional twist.  Guests of all ages will appreciate its design, which, together with the use of art and sculpture throughout, lends the hotel an unashamedly flamboyant and youthful air.

  • Loved the Vendimia festival whilst we were at the Narbona. This event was brilliant - we had a lot of memories to take home.
